Find your Creem API key
Support · Creem, merchant of record for saas
TapRev reads your Creem sales with a API key you make in Creem. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to Creem; no TapRev server ever sees it.
Creem has no read-only API key, so it allows more than TapRev asks of it. TapRev only reads with it: the app has no code that writes to a platform, and you can revoke it in Creem at any time.
Make the API key
- Go to Creem > Developers > API keys
- Create a new API key
- Copy the key (starts with creem_, or creem_test_ in test mode)
- Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose Creem and paste it
Instant Alerts (Pro)
Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, Creem wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into Creem. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap Creem under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:
- Go to Creem > Developers > Webhooks
- Click Add webhook and paste the link as the URL
- Select the events listed below and save
The events to select
checkout.completedsubscription.paidsubscription.activesubscription.trialingsubscription.scheduled_cancelsubscription.canceledsubscription.expiredsubscription.past_duesubscription.pausedrefund.createddispute.created
The link only wakes your phone. Whatever Creem sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks Creem with its own key (privacy policy).
Take the key back
Revoke the API key in Creem and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
Still stuck
Email [email protected] with your iOS version and the step you reached. Never include the key itself.
