Find your Paddle API key
Support · Paddle, billing & subscriptions
TapRev reads your Paddle sales with a API key you make in Paddle. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to Paddle; no TapRev server ever sees it.
Paddle can limit a key to reading, so make it read-only: it can see your sales and cannot change anything.
Make the API key
- Go to Paddle > Developer Tools > Authentication
- Create a new API key with read permissions only (transactions, subscriptions, customers)
- Copy the key (starts with pdl_live_, or pdl_sdbx_ in a sandbox account)
- Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose Paddle and paste it
Instant Alerts (Pro)
Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, Paddle wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into Paddle. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap Paddle under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:
- Go to Paddle > Developer tools > Notifications
- Click New destination and enter a description
- Choose Webhook and paste the link as the URL
- Select the events listed below and save
The events to select
transaction.completedadjustment.createdadjustment.updatedsubscription.updatedsubscription.canceled
The link only wakes your phone. Whatever Paddle sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks Paddle with its own key (privacy policy).
Take the key back
Revoke the API key in Paddle and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
Still stuck
Email [email protected] with your iOS version and the step you reached. Never include the key itself.
