Find your Dodo Payments API key

TapRev reads your Dodo Payments sales with a API key you make in Dodo Payments. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to Dodo Payments; no TapRev server ever sees it.

Dodo Payments has no read-only API key, so it allows more than TapRev asks of it. TapRev only reads with it: the app has no code that writes to a platform, and you can revoke it in Dodo Payments at any time.

Make the API key

  1. Go to Dodo Payments > Developer > API Keys
  2. Create a new API key (in Test Mode, it reads your test data)
  3. Copy the key
  4. Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose Dodo Payments and paste it

Instant Alerts (Pro)

Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, Dodo Payments wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into Dodo Payments. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap Dodo Payments under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:

  1. Go to Dodo Payments > Developer > Webhooks
  2. Click Add endpoint and paste the link as the URL
  3. Select the events listed below and save

The events to select

  • payment.succeeded
  • refund.succeeded
  • dispute.opened
  • dispute.won
  • dispute.lost
  • subscription.active
  • subscription.renewed
  • subscription.cancelled

The link only wakes your phone. Whatever Dodo Payments sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks Dodo Payments with its own key (privacy policy).

Take the key back

Revoke the API key in Dodo Payments and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
