Find your FastSpring API key
Support · FastSpring, global payments & subscriptions
TapRev reads your FastSpring sales with a API username and password you make in FastSpring. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to FastSpring; no TapRev server ever sees it.
FastSpring has no read-only API username and password, so it allows more than TapRev asks of it. TapRev only reads with it: the app has no code that writes to a platform, and you can revoke it in FastSpring at any time.
Make the API username and password
- Go to FastSpring > Integrations > API Credentials
- Create or find your API credentials
- You'll need both username and password
- Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose FastSpring and enter the username and password
Instant Alerts (Pro)
Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, FastSpring wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into FastSpring. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap FastSpring under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:
- Go to FastSpring > Developer Tools > Webhooks > Configuration
- Use the webhook created for you, or Add Webhook for live orders
- Click Add URL Endpoint and paste the link as the URL; leave the HMAC SHA256 Secret empty
- Select the events listed below and click Add
The events to select
order.completedreturn.createdchargeback.createdsubscription.charge.completedsubscription.canceledsubscription.deactivated
The link only wakes your phone. Whatever FastSpring sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks FastSpring with its own key (privacy policy).
Take the key back
Revoke the API username and password in FastSpring and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
