Find your RevenueCat API key
Support · RevenueCat, in-app subscription management
TapRev reads your RevenueCat sales with a secret API key you make in RevenueCat. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to RevenueCat; no TapRev server ever sees it.
RevenueCat can limit a key to reading, so make it read-only: it can see your sales and cannot change anything.
Make the secret API key
- Go to RevenueCat Dashboard > Project Settings > API Keys
- Create a v2 secret key with read-only permissions (starts with sk_)
- Do NOT use the public SDK key
- Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose RevenueCat and paste it
Instant Alerts (Pro)
Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, RevenueCat wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into RevenueCat. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap RevenueCat under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:
- Go to RevenueCat > your project > Integrations > Webhooks
- Add a webhook and paste the link as the URL
- Leave the authorization header empty and keep every event type selected
- Save
The link only wakes your phone. Whatever RevenueCat sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks RevenueCat with its own key (privacy policy).
Take the key back
Revoke the secret API key in RevenueCat and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
Still stuck
