Find your Lemon Squeezy API key
Support · Lemon Squeezy, digital products & saas
TapRev reads your Lemon Squeezy sales with a API key you make in Lemon Squeezy. It is kept in your iPhone’s Keychain and sent only to Lemon Squeezy; no TapRev server ever sees it.
Lemon Squeezy has no read-only API key, so it allows more than TapRev asks of it. TapRev only reads with it: the app has no code that writes to a platform, and you can revoke it in Lemon Squeezy at any time.
Note: Lemon Squeezy is migrating billing to Stripe. If your store has already moved, some revenue may also appear under a connected Stripe account — connect both to avoid double-counting or gaps.
Make the API key
- Go to Lemon Squeezy > Settings > API
- Create a new API key (in test mode, it reads your test data)
- Copy the key
- Open TapRev, tap Add Platform, choose Lemon Squeezy and paste it
Instant Alerts (Pro)
Free sale alerts arrive when iOS lets the app check, from 15 minutes to a few hours apart. With Pro, Lemon Squeezy wakes your phone within seconds of a sale through a link you paste into Lemon Squeezy. In TapRev, open Settings → Notifications and tap Lemon Squeezy under Instant Alerts to copy its link, then:
- Go to Lemon Squeezy > Settings > Webhooks
- Add a webhook and paste the link as the Callback URL
- Enter any signing secret of 6 to 40 characters (required by Lemon Squeezy; TapRev does not read it)
- Select the events listed below and save
The events to select
order_createdorder_refundedsubscription_payment_successsubscription_payment_refundedsubscription_cancelledsubscription_expiredsubscription_payment_failedsubscription_plan_changedsubscription_pausedsubscription_unpausedsubscription_resumed
The link only wakes your phone. Whatever Lemon Squeezy sends with it passes through the relay unread, and the phone then checks Lemon Squeezy with its own key (privacy policy).
Take the key back
Revoke the API key in Lemon Squeezy and TapRev can no longer read anything from the next sync on. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes every key from the Keychain.
Still stuck
